I watched this movie long after its release, and honestly, I didn’t have high expectations. It seemed like another adventure-turned-disaster film, a theme that’s been done before. A group of friends on an adventure is a familiar setup, but as the plot unfolds, it surprisingly grips your attention. Since much of the movie is set inside a cave, the confined space adds a tense, suspenseful atmosphere to the story. There are certain scenes that demand your full focus, pulling you into the tension.
One scene, in particular, stood out to me: the group of friends crawling through a narrow passage, struggling to make their way across. As the passage collapses around them, one of the friends starts gasping for air, trapped and suffocating. I’m not sure if I can fully describe it, but the way this sequence was shot made me realize I have claustrophobia. I could barely breathe while watching—it’s the first time a movie has physically affected me like that.
As the characters try to escape the cave, they face off against mysterious creatures—beings that resemble humans but are actually underground dwellers. The encounters with these creatures are intense and keep you glued to the screen. While I wouldn’t call this a great movie, it’s definitely good and worth watching for its suspenseful moments and well-executed sequences.
If you did not watch it, Please go for it.
