I watched this movie on Netflix yesterday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Initially, I assumed it was a typical Disney-style film aimed at children, but it turned out to be so much more. Millie Bobby Brown shines in the lead role, showcasing the talent she initially proved in Stranger Things. It’s amazing to see her growth as an actor in major films like this—she clearly has a promising future ahead.
To avoid spoilers for those who haven’t watched it, I won’t reveal too much about the plot. One of the things I loved most is how quickly the story dives in—no filler scenes, just pure, engaging storytelling from the start. I’ve seen too many films that take forever to get to the main story, so this was a refreshing change. The screenplay is sharp, and all the actors perform well in their roles. A standout for me is the dragon: its design and voice are fantastic. Whoever created the dragon deserves applause, as does the person who provided its voice. The graphics throughout are top-notch.
I was also impressed by the visual details, especially the blue, glowing snails in the underground scenes and the intricate cave setup. These elements create a world that feels genuinely immersive. The dragon’s fire looks incredibly real, adding to the authentic feel of the graphics. The pacing is so well-managed that the two-hour runtime just flies by.
Overall, I had a great experience watching this movie, and I’d highly recommend it if you have some time. I’d love to see a sequel; it definitely feels like there’s more story to tell!
